Restrictions in Developing iPhone Apps

Mobile phone, the once considered luxury has now become an integral part of our daily life. Almost every day the open source mobile applications are demonstrating the precedence of next generation mobile apps. IPhone, Black Berry, Android and other smart phones are clearly intending to take the gadgets to the next level by positioning them more as portable computing devices.

The brilliant mobile applications are increasing user interest and expectations as well. Now, being an iPhone application developer you might have found the iPhone to be an ideal platform to develop killer applications and make a good fortune. But things are not that simple. There are some restrictions for the iPhone app developers laid by Apple which may impact on your application development plan as well.

The first and most notable restriction is iPhone can run one application at a time. So, don’t expect that multitasking ability will continue running an application even when the user is attending a phone call. Now when the user is on a secured server it becomes really hazardous to move out of the page frequently and give the username password every time while logging back to the page. Another thing is, IMs fail to collect information while you are attending a call as no third party can run on the back end. iPhone app developers should keep these matters in mind while designing a GPS application where users are supposed to ignore all important calls to complete the process.
